How to add a WhatsApp chat button to your Shopify store

The WhatsApp chat widget adds a chat button to your storefront so customers can reach your team on WhatsApp with one tap — no phone number saving, no forms.

Enable the chat widget

  1. Open the SuperLemon dashboard and go to WhatsApp Widgets in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Chat Settings.
  3. Turn the widget on.
  4. Under Agents, click Add New Agent and fill in: WhatsApp number, name, role, avatar, and working hours/days. Add as many agents as you like — each can have their own number and schedule.

Customize it

  • Button design & text — choose from 50+ designs and layouts, or set custom colors to match your theme.
  • Callout card — a small attention-grabbing message next to the button for new visitors. Configure the text and delay; it shows once per visitor per day.
  • Greeting widget — a welcome panel with a title and help text, shown when customers open the widget. Enabled automatically when multiple agents are active.
  • Position & pages — set which side of the screen, height/edge offsets, and which pages (home, product, cart…) show the button.
  • Language — the widget automatically displays in your customer's language. No configuration needed.

Test your setup in an incognito window (the callout card only shows once per day per visitor). Customers who message you through the widget are automatically added to your Customers list for later campaigns.
