How to enable and edit WhatsApp automations

  1. In SuperLemon, open Automations in the left sidebar.
  2. Toggle on the automations you want — Abandoned Cart, Order Confirmation, Shipment, COD, Feedback, Cross-sell, Winback.
  3. Click an automation to configure it:
    • Language — pick from 10+ languages; pre-translated templates are included.
    • Edit template — change the message text, variables, and buttons. Edits are auto-submitted to WhatsApp for approval (usually minutes).
    • Discount — enable auto-generated discount codes to lift conversion.
    • Timing — for cart recovery, set the delay between abandonment and the reminder.
    • Advanced settings — optional audience filters: country, traffic source, order count, order value.

Note on plans: on the Free plan, cart-recovery and order messages are sent manually (up to 100/month) from the Abandoned Carts and Orders sections. Brand and Scale plans send them automatically from your own WhatsApp Business API number. Message charges per the rate card apply.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my edited template say 'pending approval'?

WhatsApp reviews every template before it can be sent. Edits are submitted automatically and usually approved within minutes to a few hours. Your automation keeps using the previous approved version until the new one is approved.
