Meta business verification confirms your company is real. For WhatsApp API users it's the single most valuable admin task:

• Raises your messaging limit from 250 → 1,000 business-initiated conversations/day (and enables scaling to unlimited);
• Required for the blue verified checkmark;
• Speeds up display name approval and unlocks additional WhatsApp Business Accounts.

1. Find your Business ID

1. Go to business.facebook.com and log in. You must be an admin of the business portfolio.
2. Open Settings → Business portfolio info — your Business ID is listed there.

2. Start verification

1. In Business settings, open the Security Center.
2. Under Business verification, click Start verification.
3. Enter your legal business details exactly — legal name, address, phone, website. You can't edit these after submitting.
4. If Meta finds your business in public records, confirm it and receive a code by phone, email (domain must match your website), or domain verification.
5. If no match is found, you'll upload documents instead (below).

3. Documents that work

Documents must show your legal business name and address/phone, be current, and unaltered. Commonly accepted:

• Certificate of incorporation / business registration
• Business bank statement
• Tax or VAT registration certificate (e.g. GST certificate & PAN in India, EIN letters in the US)
• Utility bill (for address; include the phone number if verifying by phone)
• Business license

Country-specific lists are maintained by Meta — check the official acceptable documents list for your country.

4. Check your status

Security Center shows Pending → Verified (or Rejected with an email explaining why). Review usually takes a few business days. If rejected: fix the mismatch (name/address in the document must match what you typed), and resubmit.
